“At a time when we should be trying to bolster the integrity attached to our voting system, Democrats are trying to expand it. In my district and beyond, there is a large amount of distrust in Oregon’s voting system. Recent events with the Secretary of State furthered this distrust and it is our responsibility to rebuild it. Giving additional authority to a state agency that recently failed to meet a minimum standard in a state audit is not only irresponsible, but it is reckless,” said House Republican Leader Breese-Iverson (R-Prineville).
