I joined the Lane county Republicans so I could observe what went on. To see if there was something I could volunteer my time and help with after retirement. I served in the military, spending a number of years as an instructor teaching teamwork and leadership to young soldiers.
With the 75th anniversary of the D-Day Invasion there are a couple of lessons that can be applied. First: Thousands of men and women worked for month’s / years preparing for this event. From the building of equipment, to planning, practicing all for one goal which was to defeat the enemy. We will never know the full extent of the sacrifice and dedication that went into this effort to bring victory.
We are in just as big a battle now with the attempt to destroy our nation and way of life. It was said that we are one generation away from losing our present way of life. We need to come together as one unselfish body to defeat those who wish to take control. These people are changing laws for their own greed-power-and-control.
The other lesson to be applied from D-Day is: They didn’t recruit the enemy to fight with them! It is time to rid the Republican party of Republicrates.
What is a Republicrate? It is someone running for or serving in a political office as a Republican that doesn’t back or follow the Republican platform. They don’t back the president that the American people elected to lead this country back to health and prosperity.
When the fake news reports a known lie about President Trump, there are republican congressmen and senators that line up in front of the media. These Republicrates say how they can’t back someone who said or done whatever the media exploited. The next day they are at the White House saying how they and the president are best of friends for they now want a favor from the president.
It is time we put Real Republicans up as candidates for office!
