In this article we are presenting those State of Oregon, and the Federal office candidates that will represent not only our state and nation, also, the residents of Lane County, Oregon.
Throughout the counties and cities of Oregon and the United states, there are numerous Republican candidates, each deserves your consideration, and if you don’t vote in Lane County, you are encouraged to look for sources in your communities, to learn more about your Republican and Conservative candidates.
President Donald J. Trump, 45th President of the United States

Oregon state and our nation are facing almost certain Constitutional death and not from Coronavirus, If the far-left radicals are to win the 2020 election. Look what is happening now, in places such as New York City, Portland, Oregon, Chicago, Illinois and many other large, medium, and small cities where the Democrats are in control.
Riots, burning buildings, Police not allowed to do their job, mayor and governors letting dangerous prisoners go free. Homeless defecating in the streets, gang killings of innocent children and adults with an ever-increasing murder rate. Democratic leaders are running out of excuses as they continue to blame all their problems on the Republican Party and President Donald Trump.
While the news media is in the pockets of the Democrats and they will refuse to be honest with the American people, those with logical minds understand the truth. The Truth is found in a Vote for the reelection of Donald Trump and Mike Pence.
Save Our Nation and Vote for Donald Trump
The radical Democrats have elected Joe Biden as their candidate for President. We have all seen that Joe Biden is experiencing what appears to be dementia. His running mate Kamala Harris the most Liberal Democrat in the U.S. Senate, a woman that could not did the support of Democrats in the Primary. While they are now trying to remake her as a moderate, those with logic, realize that she is a RADICAL LEFTIST. A vote for Biden and Harris, is a vote for higher taxes, take away of guns from law abiding citizens, abortion on demand, eliminating police, open borders, allowing others from all countries to enter and take away your job and giving it to someone who will work for less. You say that’s okay, because they are going to give us free education, free housing, free medical and free everything else, They are going to make it free for everyone including those here illegally. Think logically before you believe that everything can be free.
Where is this money coming from for everything free? Biden and Harris, would tell you it is the Corporations and the Rich. Now, who in the hell do you think the Corporations will pass it on to? Logic says it is the consumer and that includes everyone including you. The truth is, you are going to be paying the bill through taxes that run from the bottom of your feet to the top of your head; taxes from the cradle to the grave, for every man, woman and child. Yes, we must stop this insanity, think logically and reelect Donald J. Trump.
But Trump Has Put Our Economy in the Hole
The Democrats and their counterpart the news media, would have you believe that President Trump has put our economy in the hole. The truth is, that in less than three years, Trump built the best economy that any of us living today, have seen. Along came the Corona virus, the Democratic Governors and Mayors have mismanaged it in their states and cities and are blaming it on President Trump. Donald Trump is working hard to rebuild our economy as the Democrats fight him, as they believe stopping him now will make it easier for them to take over with their Socialist policies. We must stop this insanity and the lies and reelect Donald J. Trump to the Presidency of the United States.

Oregon State, House Districts
Cedric Hayden
State Representative – House District 7
Cedric Hayden is running for reelection to the Oregon House of Representative, District 7. Cedric’s challenger is Democrat Jerry Samaniego.

Dear Lane County Republicans,
Thank you for taking the time to connect candidates to the voters in our community. Now more than ever, given the severity of our Coronavirus crisis, who leads our state out of record high unemployment and will reset the state’s budget so that we might better manage delivery of our most critical human services, matters more than voters may yet realize. Voting is the NUMBER ONE thing we can all do right now in this upcoming May Primary.
As a doctor and a state lawmaker, ensuring the health and safety of our communities is my top priority. I also understand as a business owner the need to restart our economy as quickly as possible to ensure our rural communities don’t fall into a deep recession. There’s much work to be done, and I’m committed to continuing to serve my neighbors and bring solutions that reduce taxes, support businesses, protect seniors and veterans, and make sure our kids have access to a robust public education.
I ran unopposed in the May Primary election but will face a challenger in November. I would appreciate any and all help and support you may want to help get the word out and support the campaign. You can follow me on Facebook, join me in Timber Unity’s community for Town Hall Tuesdays, or visit my webpage at www.HaydenForOregon.com. Please know, my door is always open to you. Best, Rep. Cedric Hayden
Timothy Aldal
State Representative – House District 8
Timothy W Aldal, is running for election to the Oregon House of Representative, District 8. Timothy’s challenger in November is Democrat Paul Holvey.

Timothy Aldal, an Oregon Native is running for the Oregon House of Representatives to restore balance to Oregon. His experience from work in social services in the Eugene area with vulnerable seniors and people of disability will bring valuable insight to our local state government. He has a proven track record of leadership and service as a 22-year combat veteran of the Oregon Army National Guard. Timothy and his loving Fiancé Katrina live in just outside of Veneta in rural Lane County.
Oregon needs balance, and Lane County needs representation in Salem that reflects our values. I believe that all Oregonians deserve the opportunity to succeed, but Oregon is being held back by:
- Homelessness: all of Oregon’s citizens deserve a safe place to lay their heads at night and under my leadership I will strive to reduce property taxes that are driving the affordable housing markets out of reach for everyone.
- High School Dropout Rates: Our Children deserve better, 44th in overall education and 48th in High School Graduation rate. We must work together to fix our public school system.
- Poorly managed budgets and regressive tax policies: Oregon has the 9th highest effective tax rate in the Country, but what does Oregon Have to show for it. It’s not about revenue, but fiscal responsibility once collected.
Boomer Wright
State Representative – House District 9
Boomer Wright, is the Republican candidate for election to the Oregon House of Representative, District 9. Boomer’s challenger is Democrat Cal Mukumoto.

I Am Running for State Representative to Take Our Coastal Common Sense to Salem
I’ve lived in this community for nearly 50 years. Over my career, I’ve educated children as a teacher, principal, and superintendent. After my education career, I was the General Manager of Sea Lion Caves for 5 years. From my experience working for a local tourist destination, I know how dependent our economy is on the rest of the state and country.
I’m frustrated that our jobs, way of life, and our communities are threatened by special interests and politicians in Salem and Portland.
Our coastal communities will not survive high taxes, rising energy costs, and threats to our personal freedoms. Let’s take back local control of our coastal communities and bring common sense to Salem!
I would be honored to earn your trust and vote. If you would like to learn more about my campaign or help out, please visit www.BoomerWright.com or call me at 541-991-0065
Katie Boshart Glaser
State Representative – House District 11
Katie Boshart Glaser, is the Republican candidate running against Democrat Marty Wilde for election to the Oregon House of Representative, District 11.

House District 11 is a vibrantly diverse district that has been under-represented for decades. While geographically diverse, I believe our district is much more unified than divided. Our District needs a representative who can collaborate, making decisions that represent all of this great district.
- Farm/Forestry. Every year, natural resource communities improve our environment with both science and technology. I will fight to protect our rights.
- Real Mental Health Solutions. Too often this issue is kicked down the road with a quick bandaid thrown on it, we must do more for our friends, neighbors and kids.
- Quality K-12 Education/Trade Education. Our kids deserve us investing in them. Safety in schools and career education are both vitally important. I want to create more pathways through investment in the trades, ensuring all kids have a path to success.
- Government Accountability. Integrity needs a comeback.
- Medical Freedom. When it comes to our children’s health, medical decisions should be made between the parent and their doctor.

Katie Boshart Glaser, Candidate for House District 11 www.katieboshartglaser.com
info@katieboshartglaser.com Phone: 541-995-0604
My name is Ruth Linoz and I am running for Oregon house representative in District 12 Springfield. As a business leader, I know the importance of supporting workers and employers. I am dedicated to representing those working in Oregon’s outstanding timber industry that has been left behind by Portland’s urban agenda.
Ruth Linoz
State Representative – House District 12
Ruth E Linoz, is the Republican candidate for election to the Oregon House of Representative, District 12. Her November opponent is Democrat John Lively.

My community advocacy experiences will provide a fresh voice to the tough issues facing our city and state. Working with Springfield’s community as director of South Lane Wheels I have a rich understanding of many of Springfield’s fixable issues. Statewide graduation rates are some of the lowest in the country, it is time for a leader to represent Oregonian’s ongoing frustration with education. I strongly support an education system that focuses on the individual student which in turn will produce better citizens.
Alongside education Oregon’s healthcare issues is something I care deeply about. Recently the COVID-19 pandemic has revealed the state is unprepared in the event of a large-scale health concern. I plan to support any improvements for health insurance providers to be more prepared for events like this.
I am an ordinary resident of Springfield, not an experienced politician, and I seek to use my local in-person experience to represent us in Salem. I am qualified to serve at the state level to voice my outrage at the misuse of power by our state leadership that is putting at risk our education, healthcare, Springfield’s unique culture, and future economy. Please vote Ruth Linoz for Springfield!
David J Smith
State Representative – House District 13
David J Smith, is the Republican candidate for election to the Oregon House of Representative, District 13. His opponent in November is Democrat Nancy Nathanson.

David Smith was born and raised in Eugene and graduated from Sheldon High School’s 2nd graduating class in 1965. He graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science in 1972 after serving 2 years in the US Army and spending one of those years in Vietnam. Upon my graduation from the U of O I moved from Eugene to San Francisco but returned to Eugene in 1998. The love of his life and he continues to live in the neighborhood where he grew up.
David spent 45 years as a Real Estate Appraiser in California and Oregon. David says that this has given him a real perspective on how people really live from the very wealthy to the very poor. David was “Chief Appraiser of Northern California” for the TRW Corporation for about 5 years which gave him management experience, experience setting and achieving goals, and dealing with clients and personnel.
David went on to say, “I was fortunate to have my dad, uncles and grand dad teach me how to hunt, fish and respect and enjoy the great outdoors as a kid growing up in Oregon. The majesty of Oregon’s mountains, wild life, coastal areas and farm areas, rivers and lakes are precious to me and must be kept as pristine as possible while allowing public access to the lands we the people own.”
“I have always had an interest in sports and I have been involved in a variety of sports throughout my life including golf, baseball, basketball, mud lot football, track, scuba diving, water and snow skiing, and many years studying and practicing martial arts. I am a big fan of music and I am a big fan of Karaoke.”
“I believe in solving problems by seeking common ground from both sides of the aisle but with emphasis on common sense and what actually works. I think all voices and ideas need to be heard. We live in a Democratic Republic which requires everyone to be aware and to be involved in their government if we are to have a system that we can be proud of. I think that when one party has a Super Majority for too long a period the people begin to be ruled rather than served. I wish to serve the people of Oregon.” David Smith for Oregon
Rich Cunningham
State Representative – House District 14
Rich Cunningham is running for election to the Oregon House of Representative, District 14. His challenger is Democrat Julie Fahey.

Dear Friends, I have served the people of West Eugene since 2008 as an elected member of the Eugene Water and Electric Board. Most recently, I have served as an elected member of the Bethel School Board where I am currently serving my 3rd consecutive term.
During my terms on the school board, I have developed many friends on both sides of the political divide. This has enabled me to build partnerships and to help get things done for our school district. This includes a 50-million-dollar bond that passed with over 70 percent of the vote. This resulted in two new elementary schools, Fairfield and Malabon, and a new science wing at Willamette High School. We have also purchased all new curriculum for our students, reduced class sizes, and increased our graduation rates. We have also successfully built one of the state’s first fully operational farms at Kalapuya High School.
These accomplishments are a result of our school board working together to form community partnerships to get things done. In the nine and a half years I have been on the school board, we have never played politics and have always gotten things done! I want to bring a bipartisan approach to governing in Salem. I am a true moderate running from a truly moderate district. With your help, I can win in November.
I have always believed that qualifications count. I ask for your vote in the May 19th primary for Representative in District 14. Rich Cunningham. RichCunninghamForOregon
Oregon State Senate Candidates
Dick Anderson
State Senate – District 5

We are in uncharted waters as Covid-19 engulfs us. However, some things continue on like the election confronting us. I am running for the State Senate District 5 position as a Republican. My opponent is Democrat Melissa Cribbins.
The challenge now is to get creative in the way I campaign. No longer can I knock on doors or meet personally with people so they get to know me. Please visit my website at AndersonforOregon.com and my Facebook page at Dick Anderson for Oregon. Like and share these to help me get the word out.
I am motived to be the person that breaks the hold of the super-majority in the Senate Chamber. Adding one Republican seat will go a long way in bringing balanced discussions to future legislation. The one party dominance in State Government has left us behind and this system ignores our unique regional attributes and certainly our coastal needs.
I have a wide variety of life skills and experiences serving my community including over five years as Mayor of Lincoln City. I have been able to strike a balance when dealing with tough issues and handle City problems with respect for others because I see my neighbors and fellow citizens regularly at the local coffee shop and grocery store.
I would ask you to share my information and your support of my efforts with your friends and neighbors. Our State Government needs an adjustment. The super-majority by any one party is not healthy.
I look forward to meeting you in person when we get back to normal.

Oregon Attorney General
Michael Cross
Michael Cross is the Republican candidate for Oregon Attorney General. His opponent is incumbent Ellen Rosenblum (D)

Hello Fellow Oregonian! I hope you are doing as good as can be expected under these very trying times. I believe in the resourcefulness and resiliency of Oregonians!
I wanted to introduce myself as your next State Attorney General. My name is Michael Cross and I feel very passionate about protecting Liberties of the People and looking out for those that are of limited means; especially if they become embroiled in the legal system.
A good Leader is cognizant of the fact that the if not careful, the power of the state can be misapplied and bad things then happen to good people.
At the same time, it seems companies are allowed too much leeway and it is negatively effecting Oregonians’ pocket book and their way of life. For instance these “Robo Calls” have gotten way out of hand. I am also alarmed at the rates banks are charging some of our most vulnerable citizens. “Predatory Towing” has definitely gotten out of hand with fees and costs into the stratosphere! I also don’t believe that credit should be a factor in determining someone’s car insurance. Again, these “costs of living” hit our most vulnerable citizens the hardest. I would like to look into these things, fix them and make life a little easier and definitely more fair.
I have attached a link to my website and a candidate questionnaire which should further inform you as to my thinking on vital constitutional issues that the Attorney General faces.
In closing, if elected I would work with local and state governments to SOLVE the homeless crises so that once again we feel safe in our own neighborhoods. In many cases, these folks are dealing with addiction, mental health or simply joblessness. I would also ask for assistance from the federal government via disability and vocational rehabilitation programs to get these folks the help they need and once again, turn them into productive members of our society.
To be sure, a daunting task but I do see the light at the end of the tunnel and am very good at providing solutions and resolutions in the most challenging situations! It’s not like it has never been done either! It was about 80 years ago that the Fed launched it’s very successful Civilian Conservation Corp (CCC) program which successfully accomplished what I just outlined by providing treatment, training and ultimately jobs to people that needed it!
I hope you’ll join our team of volunteers by spreading the word about my candidacy, so that we win this election and make Oregon a better place! A better place not only for today but for our children and grandchildren to come!
Thank you so much for your support!

Oregon State Treasurer
Jeff Gudman
Jeff Gudman is the Republican candidate in the General Election for Oregon State Treasurer. The seat is presently held by Democrat Tobias Read, who is running for reelection.

Dear Friends – In 2016 I came within 2.4% of winning the Oregon State Treasurer’s race. At the time, a popular former Republican State Senator ran as an Independent and received 9% of the vote. She is not running again, and has endorsed me in the race! This is ours to win!
I have an MBA in Finance/Management from the Wharton School of Business and a BA in Economics, Pomona College. I am the Past Treasurer of the Legacy Emmanuel Hospital Foundation, Past Treasurer of USA Olympic Swimming, Past Chair of Northwest Pilot Project, and the Past Chair of Financial Executives International Portland Chapter. My lifetime of experience in finance in both the private and public sectors will serve our state well.
How we manage our finances determines what we can afford; roads, schools, bridges – even PERS. I offer reliable, understandable management of our state’s finances.
As a Lake Oswego City Councilor, I established myself as a budget hawk. With my fiscal leadership, we were able to fund our priorities without raising anyone’s taxes. We dramatically reduced our unfunded liability for road maintenance, rebuilt our operations and maintenance center, and rebuilt city hall and the police station – All without asking taxpayers for an extra dime.
I’ve spent my entire career in finance for private industry, utilities and non-profits. For me, the Treasurer’s position is not a stepping-stone for higher office – it’s a way to give back to the state that has given me so much opportunity throughout my life and career. Visit JeffGudman.org for a long list of endorsements.
U.S. House – Oregon District 4
Alek Skarlatos
Alek Skarlatos is the Republican candidate in the General Election for U.S. House District 4. The seat is presently held by Peter DeFazio, Democrat, who will be running for reelection.

In 2015, I survived and stopped a terrorist attack with my two best friends on a train to Paris. After which I was honored to receive the French Legion of Honor and the Army Soldier’s Medal. After this I authored a book, and played myself in a Clint Eastwood movie. Since leaving the military, I have started a small business and been focused on solving the diverse issues that face Southwest Oregon.
Timber and Economic Development
Timber management is important to maintain healthy forests and a strong economy. Forest fires are worsening every year and our economy is suffering.
Second Amendment
I will staunchly protect the Second Amendment and the rights of gun owners.
Veterans
The VA system is broken and in need of complete overhaul to improve care for our veterans. We should not go to war without a commitment to care for those who serve.
Standing for Life
I am proudly pro-life and am the only candidate to be endorsed by Oregon Right to Life PAC.
Affordable Healthcare
We need to improve access to healthcare in Oregon. I believe the free market is the best way to solve these problems not socialized medicine.
Proud to be Endorsed by:

U.S. Senate Oregon
Jo Rae Perkins
Jo Rae Perkins is the Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate seat, presently held by Jeff Merkley (D). Democrat and New York resident, Ron Wyden (D) will not be up for reelection until 2022.

I’m Jo Rae Perkins, a hardworking businesswoman and pro-life Oregonian running to unseat US Senator Jeff Merkley in the upcoming election. I am endorsed by Oregon Right to Life PAC, and Alek Skarlatos, he is running for Congress against Peter DeFazio; Alek is also one of the heroes of the terrorist train attack in Paris.
My colleagues call me tenacious, a no-nonsense champion of common-sense policies and long over-due government reform. I have a fire in my belly to be a servant to the people of this state who deserve to finally have a senator who represents all of us, not just the special interests of some Oregonians. We are as diverse as this land we call home. We are teachers, doctors, nurses, mechanics, farmers, ranchers, loggers, small business owners, entrepreneurs, pastors, and stay-at-home parents. We are ONE OREGON and it is high time we are ALL represented on Capitol Hill.
As your next US Senator, I promise:
- I will always honor my Oath of Office and uphold the U.S. Constitution.
- I will work to end the terrible bureaucratic and governmental waste of taxpayers’ hard-earned money.
- My staff and I will read every bill before I vote to make sure it is Constitutional.
I cherish the American Dream and will do everything in my power to preserve, protect and promote the pioneering spirit of innovation, individualism and free-market enterprise that has made our country great.
