Oregon Senate Asks Voters to Establish Impeachment Process for Statewide Elected Officials

“The demand from Oregonians for greater oversight and accountability is at an all-time high. It is not only the Legislature’s responsibility to enact robust budgets and sound policy, but to act as the People’s voice for accountability. As the only state in the nation without this check on its Executive Branch, it is long past time we do this,” said Senate Republican Leader Tim Knopp (R-Bend), who co-carried the resolution on the Senate floor.
