I am not surprised that Democrats voted to impeach Trump for they have fought him every step of the way. There is no doubt that impeachment of President Trump has been their greatest fantasy. I was disappointed with the 10 Republicans that fell in lockstep with the Democrats.
It is true that Donald Trump says and does many things that we disagree with. While there are many times I do not agree with him, I do not agree with everything my loved ones say and do. And, God knows that I’m far from a saint.
The Republican Party is not full of saints and never will be for we are all human. Still, we need to clean house. The same can be said for the Democratic Party that is successful at pinning many of their own immoral behaviors on Republicans and Conservatives. The Democrats also need to clean house for as it is, many within their party are leading our Country toward Socialism.
Yes, Trump has encouraged his followers to standup for what is right. He has encouraged peaceful protests. He has condemned rioters. It is a stretch that he encouraged the violence or the small crowd that rioted while the mass, peacefully protested in Washington DC. I believe that time will prove Trump right.
Too many people, Democrats and Republicans alike, get their news from social media in carefully selected soundbites. Notice how writers place quote marks along part of a sentence and then add words of their own. Use commonsense. Stop believing everything you hear on CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, the networks and in written news. Don’t allow Facebook and Twitter to feed you negative-bias material while hiding positive information.
Listen to or read Trumps full speech while using an open mind. Make sure it is not an edited version or one where the writer or spokesperson keeps plugging in their opinions.
Many supporters and even non-supporters of Donald Trump have lost faith and believe that the Republican Party is finished. Many Republicans are saying we must start a new party. They are falling into the clutches of the Democratic Party. Folks this is exactly what the Democrats want. The Republican Party will make a comeback. I agree it will take a new party, a new Republican Party. The Republican Party will be stronger than ever before. I believe that the past and future accomplishments of Donald Trump will be a big part in our future success.
Starting today we must work together to restore the Republican Party. We must clean house of those within that are fighting us. We must replace Rhinos with true Conservatives that love the Constitution. We must work within our communities to get more Republicans elected to local and state office, school boards, and community committees, we must act now with both talk and action.
During the next two years, we must get off our ass and restore the Republican Party. I encourage each one of you that is not already doing so, to step up. Work with your local Republican Party to work towards saving America. Together we can take our country back.
Little makes me angrier than those that complain to me about the Republicans not doing enough. When I encourage them to get involved, many reply, “I am too busy.” All I can say is bullshit. I am just short of 80, own a small service business. Not related to my business I operate without pay, several websites for myself and community organizations. I also donate many hours each day to the Lane County Republican Party. If I can do that at my age, those that call themselves too busy to get involved need to turn off the television, look in the mirror and put their action where their mouth is. Maybe I am greedy, but if enough of you do it, I can someday find time to retire.
The following is a list of the 10 Republicans that voted for impeachment of Donald Trump. Are they worth supporting in the future or should they be replaced. Their voters will need to make that decision.
